First summit

We hope this note finds you and your family doing well. We are currently spending the night outside of Indianapolis on route to our second summit in Hopkinsville, KY. We completed our first summit in Flushing MI last night.
It has been a challenging 11 days. When we arrived two weeks ago, a senior adult man in the church, who had recently suffered a stroke, became confused and wondered off from his assisted living center. He had been an elder in the church and was greatly loved. He went missing for 8 days. Several hundred people in the church were involved in the search to find him during the opening days of the summit. Ultimately his body was found last Wednesday in a heavily wooded area near the church. He had died of heart trauma. This was one of three funerals during our stay there. I adjusted several messages to speak to the pain many were experiencing.
Added to this, the city of Flushing has been in economic decline since 2008 and the church has been hit hard. We heard several stories of struggling business owners who realized their need to give their business over to God. During our testimony night we listened for 70 minutes to story after story of life change. We also saw several salvation decisions during our time here.
We start our next summit this Sunday at Concord Baptist Church. The pastor told me on the phone that he and the congregation are praying for a powerful manifestation of God presence and power that will sweep through the church and the community!
Thanks for your prayers and support. May the Lord richly bless you.
